Every day since COVID-19 started decimating families, we have been thankful all of us and our families are safe and healthy. Now we want to act more on our attitude of gratitude. Giving Tuesday is one way we are doing that. Each month we will have a drawing and make a donation to the winner’s charity of choice. Every patient we see the previous month is automatically entered. Then, any dentist who refers to us during that month will have an entry for each patient referred.

Our Giving Tuesday winner in June is Dr. Michael Tapper. His charity is Get Real & Heel. It’s a program for breast cancer patients providing exercise and psychosocial therapies. It’s goal is to strengthen the minds and bodies of patients.

On a personal note, I want to thank Dr. Tapper for this contribution. As a breast cancer survivor (over 12 years now) I was asked to participate in an exercise study at Duke University about 2 years after my treatment. I was struggling to get moving again (lots of side-effects from chemo) and that study was awesome for me. It made all the difference in my quality of life. So, again, thank you Dr. Tapper. And, FYI, his patients love him.
